Backup and restore

Move your data yourself; restore never overwrites or duplicates.

Your training data lives on your device. Backup and restore let you keep a copy and move it.

Export

From Settings → Your data → Export data, the app writes a JSON file named vadis-training-backup.json and opens the system share sheet. You choose where it goes.

Restore

From Restore from backup, pick a previously exported file. The app shows a preview of exactly what will be added before anything changes:

• New sessions, favorites, and activities are added.
• Records already on the device are detected and skipped — nothing is overwritten or duplicated.

Backups made by earlier app versions still restore, regardless of their filename.

Backup is not purchase restore

Restoring a backup brings back your training data. It is different from Restore purchases, which recovers what you bought through the App Store. See Purchases.

Please don’t email your full backup or health details to support by default — it isn’t needed to help with most issues.
